Macquarie Capital backs expat Aussie startup Plutora with $18.5m raising

[1] Expat Australian tech startup Plutora has lifted up $US13.4 million ($18.5 million) in its first external funding round, from Macquarie Capital.

[2] When the company started in 2012, they only had a low public profile; but they’ve now acquired clients like Telstra, Barclays, eBay, Vodafone, ING Bank, Macy’s, Dell and Pepsico.

[3] Plutora co-founder, Sydneysiders Sean Hamawi, says Australia has played a major role in the company’s story and so they’re hiring locally.
