An Australian startup just used deep learning to win a massive European deal

[1] Queensland startup TrademarkVision successfully closed a deal with the European Union Intellectual Property Office in December last year.

[2] The EUIPO is the first governmental agency to benefit from the technology, however the terms of the contract have not been revealed.

[3] According to TrademarkVision founder and chief executive Sandra Mau, they’ve built a technology that can recognise objects in trademarks and logos just like how humans do.
