Brisbane start-up creates wi-fi sharing economy utilising unwanted data

[1] QUT PhD student and software engineer,David Poxon, developed a device that lets homes hare their wi-fi and earn out of it.

[2] Poxon said they wanted to people to have the opportunity of transforming their routers into hotspots and get ultimately paid for it.

[3] Poxon’s idea may not take off that easily but he hopes that people would one day be able to walk down the streets anywhere and take advantage of”user-pays” wi-fi networks.
