Universities Australia urges major investment in innovation amid bipartisan embrace of the future

[1] Universities Australia firmly agrees with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten’s strong emphasis on innovation.

[2] Universities Australia’s chair and vice-chancellor of Western Sydney University, Barney Glover, believes it’s highly essential for Australia to invest in research, innovation, skills and research infrastructure if it wants to be competitive.

[3] According to Glover, Universities Australia is hoping to pursue a contract between government, universities and the community in order to materialize the proper basis for an “innovative socioeconomic transformation” of various universities.
