[1] NZ government CIO, Colin MacDonald, has pledged to digitise 70 per cent of common transactions across agencies by 2017 with the aim of delivering an ‘Amazon-style’ experience to citizens accessing services.
[2] He made the pledge at the ANZ CIO Forum saying that the NZ government has already set the path towards building a single ICT ecosystem to support transformed public services.
[3] The government’s new standardised, consolidated technology ecosystem will allow individual agencies to use smart capabilities and provide smarter service.
