How digital technology is ushering in a new age of learning

[1] The 2014 Global Innovation Index illustrated that education has made Australia one of the top 10 performing countries, making the country land from its 19th place in 2013 to 17th place this year.

[2] CIO Jeff Murray confirmed that the University of Tasmania’s massive open online course (MOOC) on dementia care is one of Australia’s rewarding applications of digital technology.

[3] Aside from Tasmania, the Swinburne University of Technology is also embarking on MOOC’s through its Blackboard learning management system, and the Open Universities Australia’s Open2Study platform.
