[1] Now in its second year for Melbourne, Rails Girls Summer of Code is offering aspiring female programmers the opportunity to take on projects for some of Australia’s biggest startups.

[2] Sponsored by the likes of Google Open Source, SoundCloud and Envato, the program is an intensive three months of full-time coding for women aspirants.

[3] According to Rails Girls Summer of Code core team member Laura Gaetano, the program is now accepting projects from all programming languages.
