Former Australian government’s CIO believes Robocops would help cut crime

[1] Former Australian government’s CIO, Glenn Archer talked at the 2015 Gartner Symposium/ITxpo in the Gold Coast and believes Internet of Things devices and machine learning technologies would revolutionise services.

[2] He expects that more than 25 per cent of police officers will be functionally equivalent to Robocops by 2022 that would significantly reduce traditional crime.

[3] The rising use and sophistication of IoT devices like cameras and drones would benefit the government and citizens.
