Brisbane-based startup Skedulo makes it easy to organise on the move

Startup Skedulo is the brainchild of the founders’ realization that many companies were using Google Calendar and Outlook for scheduling or relying on legacy software. The complex spreadsheets and databases used at the time were either too simplistic or dysfunctional to practically address business needs, and often failed to resolve the overall problem.

The founders of Skedulo wondered what it would mean for enterprises apps to be as exciting to use as something like Facebook or Airbnb. With that in mind, Skedulo founders took those same on-demand scheduling principles and applied them in business and the partners they work with.

The startup started initially as a Salesforce consulting company before branching to create a cloud-based scheduling platform for enterprise. Users can access the platform via desktop or mobile app and identify available team members, assign tasks, and manage them on the fly.

Skedulo is an easy to use application for solving complex scheduling and workforce mobility challenges that features customer service touch-points via our native integration with Salesforce.com.

The Startup, which has raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding, has its engineering team based in Brisbane, and another small go-to market team in San Francisco. It was founded in 2007 by Andrew Rogers and Gary Brewer. Skedulo has helped organizations of all sizes to schedule and assign over 250,000 jobs since the year 2013.

Skedulo has grown significantly in the US and Canada, and recently signed on John Hopkins International Medicine, a large healthcare provider that boosts managing six hospitals, four suburban healthcare and surgery centres, and 39 primary and specialty care outpatient sites. Healthcare now represents about 30-40% of the startup’s customer base.
