Australia Post enveloped in start-up war with Sendle

[1] Australia Post has initiated a trademark infringement battle with fledgling courier service start-up Sendle for its tagline “Post without the Office”, that could likely end up in court.

[2] Sendle is a startup that offers door-to-door parcel delivery nationally at a substantially cheaper than that offered by Australia Post.

[3] The letter from Ashurst lawyers, filed with IP Australia, indicates that Australia Post opposes the start-up’s tagline for being “substantially identical” and “deceptively similar” to Australia Post’s trademarks.
