[1] According to Sean Richmond, Senior Technology Consultant at IT security solutions provider Sophos, Australia is the second highest victim of ransomware attacks, just behind Brazil.

[2] It noted that the real issue is the fact that the criminal malware is always being changed – with no exact same malware ever seen in more than one organisation.

[3] This has been the major concern this week with the recent release of Windows 10, as the download is providing a hook to get people to unzip and run the attached file.
