In Australia, Netflix is the new black

[1] A Roy Morgan Research has estimated Netflix’s June subscriptions grew by 151,000 homes to 559,000, giving the streaming giant an estimated 1.42 million viewers just three months after the Australian launch.

[2] Netflix is disrupting both free-to-air and pay TV models in Australia, and setting grounds as the there is a growth of video-on-demand.

[3] This has forced other competitors to up their game such Foxtel’s price cut to protect its pay TV business.
