CSIRO plan on the right track, but don’t rely on research organisations to produce startups: Baxter

[1] The CSIRO’s report, released on Thursday, has emphasized on Australia’s less efficient innovation strategies and research-business joint efforts.

[2] Australian investor and entrepreneur Steve Baxter believes Australia needs to steer away from the idea that tech startups are transpired from research.

[3] Baxter further pointed out that among the world’s 25 most valued tech companies, only one hailed from research – and that’s Google.
