Govt funds robots, cyberbullying projects with new grants

[1] $86.9 million has been offered by the federal government in funding to universities and private sector bodies for academic research projects including IT initiatives that range from robotics to 5G networks.

[2] The Education Minister Christopher Pyne laid out the plans for 252 projects that will receive the Australian Research Council (ARC) linkage grant scheme.

[3] The University of Technology Sydney and Mission Australia is set to receive $550,000 to develop “interactive mining systems” that would detect cyberbullying on social networks.
