Govt looks for new chief scientist

[1] Australian Professor Ian Chubb’s term as chief scientist ends this year.

[2] The federal government is looking for a new scientist who’s highly competent in the field of science and equipped with effective communication skills in various disciplines as well as ample policy advisory experience.

[3] According to Science Minister Ian Macfarlane, the chief scientist will be reporting to the prime minister through the Commonwealth Science Council and will be giving efficient advice on fields like science, research, technology and innovation.
