Inmarsat and Airservices Australia trial new satellite tracking standard

[1] Inmarsat has partnered with Airservices Australia to conduct the first trial of a new 15-minute tracking standard for commercial aircrafts.

[2] This follows the resolution by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) calling for the adoption of a new tracking standard for commercial aircrafts.

[3] The trial, which will be run on flights to and from Australia, will also involve Airservices Australia, Virgin Australia and Qantas to develop the operational concept for the trial.
