iiNet and Telstra clash over access charges

[1 Telstra’s push to increase the price it charges its rivals for access to the copper network has been met with opposition from iiNet.

[2] iiNet has called for the reduction in wholesale access charges levied by Telstra after Telstra sought to hike wholesale charges across its fixed line services by 7.2 percent.

[3] However, Telstra has defended the intended hike terming it as necessary to cover the increasing cost of running the network since subscribers moved from its infrastructure to the NBN.
