Pressure on coding in schools

[1] The Australian Computer Society and StartupAus have urged the government to back calls to make coding and computational thinking Australian mandatory from year 9.

[2] They called for review of the Australian curriculum review to include a dedicated technology subject from foundation to Year 10, instead of the current proposal to start from year 9.

[3] The technology community is fighting to have the relevance of the completed Digital Technologies curriculum reviews to remain to ensure that digital technology concepts are introduced in primary school.
