Telstra fined $102k penalty for ‘misleading’ iPhone 6 ad

[1] Australian giant telco Telstra has been hit with a $102,000 fine for misleading information about the price of the iPhone 6 on its ads.

[2] Telstra was issued with the infringement notice by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission over its misleading ad placed last September.

[3] The ad had indicated that the iPhone 6 plan would cost $70 every month, but failed to indicate an extra $11 that customers have to pay for the handset itself.
