NBN satellites to allow for in-flight Wi-Fi on Qantas and Virgin

[1] Qantas and Virgin Australia are set to benefit from NBN satellites for in-flight internet access for their passengers.

[2] NBN and the airlines are in discussions to share the use of two recently purchased satellites to extend broadband network to remote and rural areas in Australia.

[3] The $620 million Ka-band satellites will be managed by Optus in a five-year agreement, and will help cut down the high cost of In-flight Wi-Fi.
