Telstra reconnects with phone boxes to set up Wi-Fi hotspots

[1] Australia has previously had 40,000 phone boxes but it has reduced that to about 1000 boxes, but unfortunately, not all are even working

[2] David Thodey of Telstra planned to use the remaining phone boxes as basis for an Australia-wide network of Wi-Fi hotspots.

[3] By December users can connect their gadgets in to the wireless ­internet in Sydney’s Hyde Park, Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall and in Brisbane.
