Researcher finds way to reveal the identity of Tor users

[1] TOR (The Onion Router) is software that gives users online anonymity and it is widely used by Australians to keep their internet activities private.

[2] Based on a research by computer science professor Sambuddho Chakravarty, TOR has shown that Tor users can be ‘de-anonymised’ at a high rate of 81percent.

 [3] TOR’s anonymity is being questioned as there are already instances of TOR users’ identity being compromised.
