Entry of Microsoft Australian Azure Cloud to spark cloud price wars  

[1] Optus, the second largest telecommunications company in Australia, has launched a new app that allows for payments of up to $100.

[2] The app was developed in conjunction with the Heritage Bank and Visa, and uses the latest near field communication (NFC) feature on Android smartphones and Visa PayWave.

[3] Optus has made history as the first telco in Australian to come up with a contactless mobile payments app that can be linked to any Australian bank account.
