Qantas moves ERP into MacTel

[1] Qantas, the flag carrier airline of Australia, has made a technological shift by moving its core Oracle-based ERP platform from IBM’s Sydney data centre into MacTel.

[2] In the shift, Qantas will adopt Macquarie Telecom’s new software-as-a-service model.

[3] Qantas ERP platform was previously being hosted at the IBM’s Sydney data centre. The move is expected to reduce costs by $2 billion in three years.
