Australian authorities confiscates $9.6 million bitcoins from Silk Road drug dealer

[1] The state of Victoria had captured electronic currency known as “bitcoins” for the first time.

[2] Australian authorities impounded 24,500 worth of bitcoins from a Melbourne drug dealer.

[3] A total of $9.6 million converted to cash proceeds from the bitcoins will go to Asset Confiscation Operations office in the Victoria Department of Justice.
