Google Wallet not planning an Australian launch, leaving a big opportunity for local mobile payment startups

[2] According to Maile Carnegie (Google Australia’s Managing Director), the top developer has no plans of doing a local launch of the App. Its main focus is only in the US.

[3] However, this announcement serves as good news for some local funds payments platforms, not having Google as their competitor.
