[1] As per Akamai’s top ten sources for DDoS attacks, Australia has made the list for the first time as high-speed broadband connections becomes the norm.
[2] Akamai’s State of the Internet report indicate that Australia entered the top ten DDoS source list in the second quarter of this year, accounting for around four percent of global attacks.
[3] This now puts Australia at the same level with larger countries known for DDoS attacks such as China (37 percent), the US (18 percent) and the UK (10 percent).
