[1] Security vendor Check Point has pointed out that more than 4000 retailers in Australia could be vulnerable to the ‘’Shoplift’ bug in the eBay-owned Magento platform.
[2] The bug allows full takeover of ecommerce sites by attackers and can also be exploited for access to confidential customer details and credit card information from site databases.
[3] Willem de Groot from Byte.nl conducted a test around the world to check if sites had applied a security update for Magento, but found about 100,000 were still vulnerable.
