[1] The Royal Hobart Hospital is trialing a new telepresence system where staff are receiving virtual online training on advanced medical equipment from clinicians in other parts of Australia.
[2] This comes from the fact that Royal Hobart Hospital is geographically isolated and education and support for its biomedical staff is limited, necessitating for a new telepresence system.
[3] The GE-developed telepresence system allows a clinician to provide hands on training sessions from any location through online and remote video conferencing.
