Father watches son’s birth on Galaxy VR headset from 4000km away

[1] A demonstration by a Perth man witnessing his son’s birth from 4000km away on a VR headset will soon make Virtual visiting of relatives in hospital quite possible.

[2] Jace Larke has used this technology to witness his wife give birth to their third child in a suburban Perth while in Chinchilla through a virtual recreation.

[3] This was made possible by Sydney-based virtual reality firm Rapid VR who set up the hospital delivery room with a VR camera to capture the whole event.
