CSIRO to pilot IBM’s breakthrough in cloud-based personal data protection

[1] IBM has identified Australia’s CSIRO as the company to pilot its newly created cloud-based technology for developers that will help consumers better protect their private data.

[2] The new cloud-based technology will better protect customers’ personal data through a clever cryptographic algorithm that enables transactions to be done without involuntarily sharing any personal data.

[3] The technology, dubbed ‘Identity Mixer’, uses ‘a cryptographic algorithm to encrypt the certified identity attributes of a user, such as nationality, age, address and credit card information.
