University of New South Wales researchers clear final quantum hurdle

[1] UNSW researcher say they have cleared the final obstacle to making silicon quantum computers a reality.

[2] According to the team, physical building blocks for a silicon-based quantum computer have now been successfully constructed, paving way for the task of designing and building a functional quantum computer.

[3] Until now, it has not been possible to make two quantum ‘bits’ talk to each other, and create a logic gate using silicon – but the UNSW team have done that for the first time
