Australia’s Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) nabs Industry tech chief as new CIO

[1] Matthew Boyley, the Department of Industry and Science CIO, has won the top IT job at the AGD.

[2] AGD joined the rush of Canberra entities advertising executive roles in July after the lifting of a two-year hiring freeze by the government that had prevented them from hiring candidates outside the public service.

[3] Mr. Matthew will manage an $18 million, 80-person IT division and oversee new clients such as the National Archives and IT needs of six Canberra arts agencies.
