The Great Barrier Reef protector: QUT develops starfish-killing robot

[1] The Great Barrier Reef can now be saved with an underwater robot.

[2] The COTSbot (Crown of Thorns Sea Star) is aimed at hunting down the starfish that’s been destroying the reef’s coral.

[3] Developed by Dr. Matthew Dunbabin from QUT’s Institute for Future Environments, and Feras Dayoub, the COTSbot has the ability to inject the creature with just one shot of poison, thereby ensuring the safety of the corals.
