Inside the stalemate on Australia’s piracy code

[1] Nearly five months after the industry copyright infringement code was submitted, Australia’s internet service providers and rights holders are still in a stalemate over the actual costs involved.

[2] The Communications Alliance handed the ACMA its draft version of the industry updated warning scheme in April, but did not indicate how much the rights holders – and ISPs – should contribute.

[3] This stalemate has left the start date for the code’s operation unclear.
