Australian start-up Eora 3D builds iPhone-powered 3D laser scanner

[1] Three Australian entrepreneurs couldn’t afford a pricey $20,000 3D laser scanner, so they built their own iPhone-powered scanner.

[2] Co-founders’ Rahul Koduri, Richard Boers and Asfand Khan designed Eora 3D, a 3D laser scanner powered by any iPhone 5 or 6 model.

[3] They will be launching a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in September and they’re looking out for seed funding and Australian manufacturing partners as well.
