[1] The growing embarrassment over the IT glitch, that resulted in the mishandling of hundreds of cases of suspected child abuse in public schools, has forced a senior Queensland bureaucrat to quit.
[2] This comes amid last week’s revelations that 644 cases of suspected abuse were not passed on to police because a serious hitch in the new reporting system.
[3] A further 27 reports of suspected abuse had not been forwarded to authorities from a separate error, with the fingers pointing to the system not being tested properly before it went live.
