Australia defeats Germany to win RoboCup world title

[1] UNSW’s Australia student team has turned out victorious in the RoboCup world soccer for the second year in a row, thrashing the Germans 3-1 in a stiff finals game in Hefei – China.

[2] The five-robot UNSW team beat the German’s squad of ‘B-Human’ robots from the University of Bremen and DFKI (German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence).

[3] RoboCup is an international competition that showcases and fosters advances in robotics and artificial intelligence in different categories.
