[1] Despite the gaming industry making a $2.46 billion dollar impact in the Australian economy last year, it does not enjoy the tax concessions that apply to television and film production in Australia.

[2] A glimmer of hope is coming to light as a Senate team is set to carry out an Inquiry into the local game development industry.

[3] Among the issues to be discussed will be the revival of the three-year $20 million dollar Australian Interactive Game Fund (AIGF) that was closed by the Coalition government.
