PayPal Australia and Tyro partner in mobile payments space

[1] Online payments company, PayPal Australia, has entered into a deal with merchant credit, debit and EFTPOS acquiring company, Tyro Payments.

[2] The partnership will see the release of a new payment solution, ‘Tyro Mobile’, that will allow SMEs to meet consumer demand for mobile payment facilities via the PayPal Australia consumer app.

[3] The model seeks to explore the potential in the more than 5.5 million active PayPal account holders in Australia, with a large portion of whom regularly use the PayPal app.
