[1] Consumers using mobile payments technology are now shunning their physical debit cards for their mobile phone to directly purchase every kind of good or service.

[2] This is the experience shared by Australian-owned financial institution CUA and payments company Cuscal at the 2015 Cards & Payments Summit held in Melbourne this week.

[3] CUA’s early adopters of mobile payments technology are currently literally swapping their debit card for their mobile phone, the same way as they would have made with a traditional plastic card.
