[1] Australia is known to many as “The Lucky Country” but to stay lucky and economically prosperous, the nation has to focus on starting innovative companies.

[2] To do so, Australia needs to pay attention to: R &D, commercialization, entrepreneur education, skills and knowledge, management and leadership and capital.

[3] To support Australia’s innovative economy, StartupAUS board member Jana Matthews suggests 3 initiatives: developing a National Agency for Innovation Commercialisation and National Network of Entrepreneurship Centres and providing incentives and capital.
