Telstra to push out Pacnet SDN worldwide

[1] Telco giant Telstra is pushing for the $US697m acquisition of Asian telecommunications provider Pacnet and availability of Asia’s first Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform.

[2] The move will see the high-performance, self-provisioned dynamic network services available across 25 PEN (Points of Presence) worldwide.

[3] The Telstra’s new PEN Platform revolutionalizes the traditional role of telecommunications and enables organisations to complement traditional network approaches with SDN technology.
