Thousands of NSW iVotes open to FREAK flaw

[1] As the start of NSW state elections is nearing, the Australian electoral commission has refuted reports that its iVote online system could have been compromised.

[2] Security researchers from the University of Melbourne and the University of Michigan have noted that the already cast 66,000 votes may have been tampered with due to an insecurity.

[3] The researchers have particularly pinpointed the vulnerability to the safe SSL configuration used in the voting website, which includes a vulnerable JavaScript code from an external server.
