New South Wales considers US$78 million policing technology

[1] The ruling Liberal-National Coalition has pledged to invest AU$100 million on intensive policing technology.

[2] This is a pledge made by Premier Mike Baird in the run up to the New South Wales state elections this month.

[3] All frontline officers will have body worn video cameras, handheld narcotics testing machines, tablets for easier access to information from the field and mobile fingerprint scanners to instantly identify offenders.
