Aviation app wins industry award and major defence contract

[1] AvSoft Australia’s electronic flight bag (EFB) app has won a major deal with the Australian Army.

[2] Dubbed “AvPlan EFB”, it’s an iPhone app that enables pilots to access maps, charts and other data which were usually kept in bulky flight books.

[3] AvSoft chief executive Bevan Anderson believes the Australian Army is the first one to adopt an innovative technology such as the EFB app.
