Scentre teams with Optus for Westfield’s 21 centre Wi-Fi rollout

[1] Optus is currently connecting free customer Wi-Fi at 21 major Westfield shopping centres around Australia, with more expected to follow.

[2] Offering free Wi-Fi encourages people to come and spend more time in the shopping centres, and therefore, more business.

[3] This follows a pilot survey at Westfield Miranda (New South Wales) and Westfield Garden City (Queensland) that found that people who used the service stayed 12% longer than those who didn’t.
