Fireball and meteor smartphone app brings science down to earth

[1] With Curtin University’s Fireballs in the Sky smartphone app, meteor showers and fireballs can now be recorded.

[2] Curtin’s Department of Applied Geology’s planetary scientist Phil Bland created the app and he says it differs from the others because it guides users on where to look.

[3] Accessed freely on iOS and ­Android smartphones, Bland confirmed that there haven’t been any plans to add more updates.
