Australian Defense eyes Google Apps in public cloud pilot

[1] The Australian Department of Defense is improving its usage of cloud services by utilizing a pilot trial of Google Apps for two years.

[2] Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull has encouraged government agencies to refrain from the “box hugging mentality” that turns down the endorsement of cloud services.

[3] Government agencies like the Department of Education, Australian Electoral Commission, Department of Industry and Science are already utilizing various cloud services.
