She Makes Games: encouraging women to make video games

[1] Most video gamers in Australia are males while only a few are females.

[2] To encourage more females, the Girl Geek Academy is organizing an event in Melbourne this January 31st.

[3] The event is aimed at teaching women the fundamentals of game development with the use of an engine known as Stencyl.
